Weingut Uibel
A Demeter certified estate in the Weinvertel, Weingut Uibel is currently lead by Leo who along with his family members, produces stunning wines of generosity, complexity, and precision. Their approach highlights their range of expositions and soil types. In the cellar, Leo has taken a very experimental approach focused on long lees aging in a variety of vessels (stainless steel, variety of barrels, amphora, and granite tanks). The goal is to always highlight place through the lenses of Leo's creative winemaking.

100% Gruner Veltliner from a selection of vineyards that best represent Leo's terroir, including sandy, gravel, and loam soils on hillside and terraced sites. Fermentation with native yeast followed by 7 months of lees aging in stainless steel. Unfined, lightly filtered.

Mobius
100% Gruner Veltliner from the single vineyard End des Berges which is characterized by lime marl on a south-east hillside at 300m. Harvest typically begins early October producing a wine with depth as well as Leo's charcteristic freshness. Fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel. First year of aging is in a combination of 1000l (60%) and 500l (40%) old wooden barrels followed by 10 further months of aging in stainless steel tank. Unfined/unfiltered.

50% Gruner Veltliner, 35% Muller Thurgau, 15% Fruhroter Veltiner from south east facing terraced and hillside vineyards at 300m on gravel and sandstone. Gruner is fermented without skins, Muller undergoes whole bunch carbonic maceration without manipulation of the cap, and Fruhroter Veltliner is crushed and fermented on the skins for 2 weeks also without manipulation of the cap. This gentle extraction promotes a more fluid style and bright aromatic tones. 7 months aging in stainless steel. Bottling without fining, filtration, and minimal sulfur added a few days before bottling.
