Tenuta Cappellina
Located in the southernmost tip of Chianti Classico, Tenuta Cappellina produces classically styled, organically farmed wines. Consultant oenologist Atigllio Pagli is considered one of the world's top winemakers. In the vineyards the focus is on terroir. No pesticides or herbicides are used. Wheat, alfalfa, and fava beans are planted as cover crops and recycled into the soil as nitrogen rich fertilizer. The estate is a fan of Sangiovese fermented in stainless tanks and aged in botti, occasionally with a touch of Canaiolo.
