Tack&Glou
The Klur family has farmed grapes in Alsace since the 17th century. Today, Elisa Klur is at the helm having taken over from her father, Clement. He had been instrumental in establishing organic and biodynamic practices in their vineyards around the town of Katzenhal in 1997. They are now certified organic and biodynamic by Demeter. In 2017, the family decided to reduce their efforts, focusing on their highest quality sites, and elevate their wines in the process. As a result, their holdings now include only 1.7ha, one of which is on clay limestone and the other granite. In 2019, Elisa officially took over from her father, and renamed the estate Tack&Glou. An onomatopoeic allusion to her career as a jeweler (tack) and a her lifelong journey as a vigneron (glou), the name encapsulates the mission of the estate: precise work for delicious results. Winemaking has been from the start and will continue to be without additions. A small scale allows Elisa to craft wines into beautiful gems that represent the best of Alsatian terroir and her magnanimous spirit.

A collection of all of the grapes grown at the estate from vineyards on the granitic soils of Grand Cru Wineck Schlossberg and limestone soils of Hinterburg. Average 40 year old vines. Certified organic and biodyanmic. Co-fermented whole bunch for 5 days before pressing and aging on fine lees in foudre. Bottled without fining, filitration, or sulfur additions.
