MITTNACHT FRERES
Domaine Mittnacht Freres is a highly regarded family run winery in Hunawihr, Alsace. They are known for producing expressive high quality wines. In production since 1963 by brothers Andre and Louis Mittnacht, the estate is now run by the third generation: Marc, his wife Paule, and their son Pierre. They farm 11 hectares, approximately 20 acres, on some of the best terroirs in Hunawihr and Ribeauville. They were certified biodynamic in 1999, one of the first in the region. In the vineyards they focus on soil quality and take a holistic approach to any treatments needed. Sheep roam their lands providing nutrient rich natural compost. Fruit trees and cover crops are planted to attract biodiversity. In the cellar, wild yeast ferments in stainless and neutral oak, extended lees contact, and minimal additions produce wines that are alive with energy and vibrancy.

A blend of 20% Pinot Blanc and 80% Pinot Auxerrois, biodynamically farmed in Hunawihr. Alsace. Wild yeast fermented in stainless steel, producing a precise wine, with floral aromas. high acidity, and a rich creamy texture.
Riesling Fossiles is a biodynamic mineral driven wine from Alsace. Grown on limestone soils and wild yeast fermented in stainless. The result is a racy precise wine exhibiting aromas and flavors of citrus and stone fruits.
Biodynamic Gewurztraminer, skin contact macerated, wild yeast fermented and aged in a neutral demi muid. The resulting wine exhibits medium body with noticeable acidity, exotic tropical fruit aromas and flavors, with a long dry finish.
