Casalibre
Casalibre is the project of Santiago based winemaker, Fred Skwara. Following winemaking projects across the globe, Fred settled back in his home country of Chile to start a unique and exciting project. His focus is on sourcing pristine grapes from the surrounding valleys and making his wines with as little intervention as possible. To this end, he only works with organic growers. Furthermore, in the cellar he only uses sulfur on some of his wines and always at the lowest possible level. With the revolution in Chilean winemaking currently occurring, we're thrilled to introduce Fred's wines to the market!

Siete Perros, Valle del Itata - 100% Moscatel
Head trained 50 year old vines of Muscat of Alexandria farmed in the Huaro sector. Hand harvested, pressed to stainless steel and fermented with native yeasts. Bottled while fermenting by gravity without additions or subtractions. Matured sur lie for 10 months before disgorgement.

Head trained 100 year old vines farmed in a cooler region of Itata, Guarilihue Alto. Hand harvested with maceration of a few days in stainless. Fermentation and aging in stainless steel tanks for 9 months. Bottled without fining, filtration, or sulfur.

Certified organically grown Cabernet Sauvignon from isolated 'Los Guindos' ('The sour cherries') vineyard. Fermentation with native yeast in stainless steel. Aging in stainless steel without oak influence. Unfined, lightly filtered. Bottled with 16ppm free sulfur. 7,000 bottles produced.

De Otro Planeta, Valle de Curico - 100% Sauvignon Gris
Certified organically grown Sauvignon Gris from 'Los Huañiles' vineyard which is surrounded by organic pumpkin and cherry orchards. Vineyard pest control augmented with geese, ducks, and turkeys. Fermentation on skins in clay amphora of 500l for 10 months. Wine is pressed and bottled without fining or filtration and with zero added sulfur. 1,500 bottles produced.

Fermentation occurs in clay amphora of 700l with native yeasts. Following 35 day maceration the wine is pressed and returned to amphora where it ages for 9 months. Wine is bottled with filtration. 1,900 bottles produced.
