Bodegas Tinedo
Bodegas Tinedo is a family estate in La Mancha dating back to 1846. They have never sprayed chemical herbicides or pesticides on their vineyards, as it was too expensive and not necessary in their warm and dry climate. Since 2011, the estate has been certified organic. This step was made easier by the proximity of the 46 hectares of vineyards to the winery and Tinedo's commitment to only using estate fruit. The winery was built in the late 19th century with clay walls 1 meter thick. As a result, temperatures inside never go above 70°F allowing for the preservation of full fruited wines. It also limits electricity demands allowing the winery to be run on solar panels installed on the estate.
